I AGE TWENTY SEYMOUR DAILY TRIBUNE, SEYMOUR, INDIANA WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1972 Purdue Home Ec Alumni Meet October 29 Home Economics Alumni will try a new format for their eighth annual meeting on campus. Rather than avoid a football weekend, they will join the fans for the Purdue-Illinois game, October 29. The morningluncheon program will open with registration in Stewart Center at 8:00 where coffee will be served. The program will be held in Fowler Hall beginning at 9:30 a. m.

Lunch at 11:45 m. in the North Ballroom will be open to families and friends-and is planned to permit the fans to get off to the game well ahead of kickoff time and to provide additional time for visiting among those not attending the game. Headlining the program will be Dr. Dorothy Siegert Lyle, authority on fabrics and their care. Dr.

Lyle, past president of the American Home Economics association, is director of consumer relations of the International Fabricare Institute (formerly the National Institute of Drycleaning). Author of books on grooming and clothing, she is best known for the 500-page reference "Focus on which features more than 200 swatches. Dr. Lyle is a member of the Consumer Council of the Standards Institute' and of the Industry Advisory Committee on Textiles; she has a master's degree from the Ohio State University and a doctorate from Pennsylvania State. Valparaiso University presented her with an honorary Ph.

and she was one of only nine women to receive an Ohio State Centennial Award in 1970. Also on the program is Mrs. Rosalie Lemontree, a Hoosier transplanted to New York City. Mrs. Lemontree teaches clothing construction as a part of her position with the McCall Pattern Company.

One of her most interesting recent assignments was to help male executives learn the business from the ground up by teaching theming to sew. She claims their determination to learn and desire for perfection made them excellent students. A wide band of Cluny lace accented the square neckline and extended down the front and bordered the chapellength train. A cluster of Cluny lace petals edged with pearls held the bride's bouffant silk illusion veil, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and roses with baby's breath tinted in bridal colors. Branham, of North Vernon, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, while Jerry Schneider, brother of the bride, and Harlan Branham and Dale Branham, of North Vernon, brothers of the bridegroom, were ushers. Victor Schneider, brother of the bride, was acolyte.

Mrs. Schneider attended her daughter's wedding in a lime green A-line double knit dress with black accessories, while the bridegroom's mother chose a print dress of tangerine with navy and beige accents and navy and beige accessories. She attended Purdue University and in August of this year was graduated from Indiana University. She is a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, mathematics honorary, and of the Jackson County Rural Youth and is employed as a computer programmer with the Indiana Telephone Corporation. Both she and her husband are members of the church in which they were married. Mr. Branham, a 1967 graduate of North Vernon High School, is a member of Jennings County Rural Youth and is an assistant with Jennings Veterinarians, Inc.
