Below you will find a list of general guides for some tools to help you better utilize the online tools that you may be using this year in your classroom.

What is SSO & how do I log in?

Alvarado ISD educators and scholars use Classlink Single Sign On (SSO) to access our most utilized educational technology tools for the classroom.

The AISD SSO is customized to each person's teaching or grade level needs!

There are three ways to access the Alvarado ISD Helpdesk.

1. Go to aisd.me/help in a web browser
2. Email helpdesk@alvaradoisd.net
3. Click the Help Desk icon on your SSO page

Things to know:
* You will receive email updates on your open tickets, when a tech responds to your request.
* You can close the ticket if you find a resolution. Just "Add a Note" to state you found a resolution.
* Please put as much information about your request as possible.

Eduphoria! works to empower teachers & assist in many aspect of the school day, from lesson planning to monitoring scholar progress, streamlining administrative duties, while providing a collaborative platform for education professionals. Eduphoria! creates tools that seamlessly precipitate a teacher’s success in the classroom.

You will be using Eduphoria for the following:

- Aware: Where you will access scholar test data, create/modify assessments, and CTBA’s.

- Forethought: Where you will access & submit your lesson plans.

- Strive: Where you will access your evaluations and some professional learning courses.

Google Workspace for Education

When you login to your email account you are also logging into Google Workspace for Education. Google Workspace for Education is a collection of valuable online tools available to you and all of your scholars to use for productivity, creating content, collaboration, demonstrating learning, and beyond.

You & your scholars have access to all of these wonderful tools when signed in to your district Google account.

How did we ever live without Google?!

Note that your AD/district account, which will prompt you to change your password every 6 months, your Google account will not prompt you to change your password. You may however, change this password any time you wish.

Skyward is a multi-talented tool that you will use for taking attendance, entering grades, looking up scholar and parent contact information and more.

You will be able to access Skyward from the SSO.

Skyward is an example of a password protected link within the SSO because it holds sensitive student information and must be protected carefully. For this reason, you will be prompted to change your Skyward password every 30 days.

What is GoGuardian Teacher?
GoGuardian Teacher is a classroom management tool. It allows teachers to see what their scholars are actually doing on their screens at any time. This helps teachers eliminate distractions, connect with scholars, and ultimately helps save time in the classroom.

• Curate effective digital environments by creating saved lists of commonly-used websites so they’re easily accessible for future classes.

• Apply a default Scene that automatically opens preferred tabs to quickly get your whole class on the same page, providing scholars with immediate access to the resources they need for the lesson.

• Schedule your sessions to run at specific times and dates so that lessons start on time, every time, both digitally and physically in the classroom.

Open tabs to helpful resources, close irrelevant tabs, and annotate on a scholar’s screen to guide them towards purposeful content and help them maintain focus.

Personalize Learning Resources
Tailor instruction for individuals or groups of scholars by creating personalized learning environments with access to resources that are specific to their learning needs.

View Scholar Progress In Real Time
See scholar work in real time to quickly identify those who are off task or struggling, and those who are ready to move on.

Easily recognize when a scholar strays from assigned material and bring their attention back to the class subject at hand.

Nearpod for the Win!

Nearpod is a district paid tool that lets educators put together & deliver lessons. Nearpod also has a vast library of editable lessons available with your AISD subscription. There are share features that allow you to share your content with other educators on your campus or within the district.

Because of its interactive and engaging nature, Nearpod is the perfect tool to deliver an entire lesson, or a portion of a lesson, and it lends itself well to all students PK - 12.

You will find on the SSO that there are icons for both, teachers and students. Nearpod generates a code that you are able to share with students to join your lesson.

Teachers can choose to deliver a lesson in Nearpod by assigning a Live Participation to guide scholars advancement to each slide on their own computer screen. This is typically a teacher led lesson with the teacher using the projector for his or her view. Teachers are also able to give scholars the ability to work through the lesson at their own pace by assigning a Student Paced lesson.

Nearpod also now offers Front of Class mode as an option on specific Nearpod assignments. This allows teachers to project an interactive video even when students aren't joining from their devices. Teachers are able to now add questions to the video to use to add in checks for understanding.

There is a Google add-on that you can use in conjunction with Google Slides to upload the Google Slide deck right into your Nearpod Library to build into lessons.
